I am so fortunate to be enjoying the San Juan Islands with my kids and mother during the spring break! As I sit at the computer, the sun is beaming in the window with gorgeous blue skies and 65 degree weather, how perfect! Although I am so relaxed and enjoying family time, I always make time for fitness! At the gym, all of my clients were wondering: will I eat bad? Will I exercise? Will I drink alcohol? I started my second 90 day fitness challenge on March 15 and I finish the third week of June, so of course I will stay on track. My goal was to drop 5 pounds and 5 % body fat, with the help of my awesome products you can purchase on my website:-) Those of you that know me, know that I am very disciplined and will not deviate from reaching my goals! Since it is the beginning of April and I have two months left to accomplish my goal, let me explain how I can travel and still keep on my routine to drop the body fat.

Now, don’t think that you can’t indulge in that bottle of wine, or dessert. If you exercise while on vacation, you can enjoy a few splurges here and there, I do! I exercise everyday on vacation, cut my carbs down and enjoy my wine. For goodness sake, we all need to enjoy life, wine, food etc. All I am saying is do not neglect your health and well being just because you are on vacation. Plan some biking, swimming, hiking, walking for at least 30min a day or every other day. While dining, make sure you eat plenty of vegetables, salads, protein sources. Drink plenty of water. Remember, be good to your body and it will be good to you. Take care of your health, and you will live a longer, healthier life.
Lastly and most important, find time to feed your soul! Go for a walk and take a moment to be thankful and grateful for your life and your vacation. Take time to look around you and appreciate the sights, the sounds, the nature. Smile at a stranger and thank anyone and everyone that crosses your path. We are all so fortunate to live life to the fullest, so take advantage. My very close friend told me, “Live in The Moment,” this is what I have been doing and my life is AWESOME.
